Death is something we all carry – through loss, grief, and fear – but Easter tells a different story. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus breaks the power of death and frees us from living in fear. In the moment Mary encounters the risen Jesus, everything shifts: sorrow turns to recognition, loss to hope. Easter is an invitation into a “sweet swap” where Jesus exchanges our fear for love, our messiness for righteousness, and our death for life. That exchange isn’t just a past event; it’s a present reality, inviting us to trust Him in the places we feel fear, struggle to see Him, and need new life the most.
